Early conversations and schematic explorations made it clear the old ranch house – with a mish-mash of roof lines, additions and lack of flow – was a mismatch for a special and unique lot. The client gave clearance to reimagine the project as new construction – unrestrained, unencumbered, and informed by his own experience as a Naval aviatior. JWC collaborated with the lead architect and building draftsman to develop and execute complete design and material selection, packaged in modern massing and plan layout to best engage with the site.
